hmm... was wondering what building should I choose... and suddenly I remember about the 2010 Archidex exhibition that I went to in July at KLCC. I picked two buildings from there. They got awesome idea !! =)
The first building, Vertical prison, the second chance.
Design to Separate – A Prison Without WallThe purpose of a prison is to isolate the inmates from society and a prison needs a barrier to do so. A vertical prison does so without a wall, instead it isolates the inmates through height, where jumping off the prison is the only option.
The prison will have agricultural fields, factories, and recycling plants that will be operated by the inmates as a way to give back to the community and this is what it means by "second chance".

Second building, Burj Khalifa, Dubai.
The design cocept of the Burj Khalifa was from the desert flower or spider lily.
These are the current records of Burj Khalifa Tower
- Tallest skyscraper to top of spire: 828 m (2,717 ft) (previously Taipei 101 – 509.2 m/1,671 ft)
- Tallest structure ever built: 828 m (2,717 ft)
- World's highest mosque (located on the 158th floor)
Lastly, the third tower, Underwater Skyscraper which was from archidex too.
Since the ocean levels are rising around the globe, rather than tethering our buildings to the sinking shoreline they come out with an idea suit our building at sea? This is the approach behind the Water-Scraper, a futuristic self-sufficient floating city.
The design expands the concept of a floating island into a full-fledged underwater skyscraper that harvests renewable energy and grows its own food.
